Dear potential daughters,

My name is Tristan Tran, and it is an extreme honor to be the New Member Educator for Delta Phi Kappa’s Spring 2024 Beta Phi class. Deltas has changed my life for the better, and I can’t wait to share my love for this sisterhood with my daughters. Starting my college experience lonely and looking for a community, Deltas opened me with welcome arms to grow socially and academically. I fell in love right away. From humanities to STEM, the diversity in careers allowed me to gain vast connections. I have met the most amazing women who inspire me to be the best version of myself, and I can’t say that for many organizations here at USC. At rush events, you will get an opportunity to meet Delta’s incredible women, and see the commmunity that has been fostered for around 64 years.

As your p-mom, I can promise you my support and love during hardship. I promise to be whatever you need, whether it be a listener, protector, or a shoulder to cry on. As your mentor, I will always encourage you to use Deltas as an opportunity to grow as an individual in or out of college.

On behalf of Deltas, I’m ecstatic to meet and welcome our future new members. We are so grateful to have you as the future of our sorority and are excited to meet all of you!

With Delta Love,

Your P-mom

New Member Director

FAQ

What is rush?
Rush normally takes place during the first two weeks of school and is a time for female students to explore the different sororities at USC. Rushees will get the chance to meet active sorority members and vice versa.

Why should I rush?
Rush is a unique opportunity to network and socialize with fellow students as well as alumni. Even if you do not plan on joining a sorority, rush is always a fun way to meet new people from diverse backgrounds. In addition, free entertainment, food, and gifts are provided at every rush event to those who attend!

How much does rush cost?
It is always free to rush for Delta Phi Kappa! Free transportation will be provided at all Delta rush events.

What are the requirements to rush?
While we are an Asian-interest sorority, the only requirement to rush is that you are a female undergraduate student at USC. Moreover, complicit with USC policies, rushees will also have to meet the requirements stated in the “Rush Rules” above.

Do I have to pledge if I rush?
Absolutely not! There is no commitment to pledging or joining.

What council are you part of, if you’re not in Panhellenic?
Deltas are part of the USC Asian Greek Council (AGC). The other Asian-interest sorority under AGC is Alpha Delta Kappa. Consequently, you can still be a Delta even if you’re already part of a Panhellenic sorority!
