Delta Life

To each sister, Delta Phi Kappa means so much more than just a social organization, but a close-knit bond of everlasting sisterhood built upon faith, love and trust that holds a special place in our hearts. Throughout the years, we have grown distinguished as individuals and together as a sorority through our activities both on and off campus.

Sisters can be everything — they are the best friends we can text or call for absolutely no reason at all; they lend us a shoulder to cry on during our most stressful days; and they are always willing to go on late night food adventures together. These ladies we call our sisters accept and love one another for who we truly are. The unconditional love found in the bonds between Deltas go beyond our four years of college. We understand that once you become a Delta, you are always a Delta.

academics

As the academic chairs of Delta Phi Kappa, we offer a support system for each Delta to reach their academic goals. Through academic and alumni mentorship, along with numerous academic resources, we utilize our network to help support our sisters. In the past, alumni have presented at career workshops, regarding resumes and job hunting, as well as referenced sisters to find positions in companies, such as Google and Oracle. Since maintaining a high GPA and obtaining career opportunities are important to our girls, we find ways to help them strive in their academic and career ambitions.

philanthropy

Philanthropy can be life changing, influencing both oneself and the community. It is through volunteer work that our fellow sisters have learned to work together, and have the opportunity to use our voices in the Asian-American community. Looking towards the future, we plan to expand the range of community service events we take part in. We plan to volunteer at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, take part in Midnight Mission to help the homeless, join Reading to Kids’ service sessions, continue reaching out at the Westside German Shepherd Rescue center, and so on. It is through our hard work that we aim to better ourselves and the world we live in.

In addition to academics and community service, Deltas also provide a host of opportunities for sisters to create long lasting friendships with fraternities and sororities all over California. This is a Greek experience that enriches the social integrity for all the sisters of Delta Phi Kappa. Our social activities are always great for networking as well as fortifying the bond as a Greek family. Throughout the year, we organize many events with other universities throughout the state. Sisters can look forward to numerous food outings, themed exchanges, and football tailgates. Delta Phi Kappa never fails when it comes to having fun!
