FAQ

What is rush?
Rush normally takes place during the first two weeks of school and is a time for female students to explore the different sororities at USC. Rushees will get the chance to meet active sorority members and vice versa. This semester, the Omicron variant of COVID has pushed back involvement fair and has made our near future as students very confusing. Therefore, Deltas have decided to postpone recruitment so that both rushees and active sisters can have time to acclimate to the changes within the beginning of the semester before rush.

Why should I rush?
Rush is a unique opportunity to network and socialize with fellow students as well as alumni. Even if you do not plan on joining a sorority, rush is always a fun way to meet new people from diverse backgrounds. In addition, free entertainment, food, and gifts are provided at every rush event to those who attend!

What measures are Deltas taking to stay safe from COVID?
Prior to every rush event, rushees will be asked to show their Trojan check (including proof of COVID-negative testing in the past week). Additionally, masks will be required during all rushes. Rushees who do not comply will be asked to leave on behalf of everyone else’s safety.

How much does rush cost?
It is always free to rush for Delta Phi Kappa! Free transportation will be provided at all Delta rush events.

What are the requirements to rush?
While we are an Asian-interest sorority, the only requirement to rush is that you are a female undergraduate student at USC. Moreover, complicit with USC policies, rushees will also have to meet the requirements stated in the “Rush Rules” above.

Do I have to pledge if I rush?
Absolutely not! There is no commitment to pledging or joining.

What council are you part of, if you’re not in Panhellenic?
Deltas are part of the USC Asian Greek Council (AGC). The other Asian-interest sorority under AGC is Alpha Delta Kappa. Consequently, you can still be a Delta even if you’re already part of a Panhellenic sorority!
